LONGHORN

Harris has completed several pieces with the ‘Texas Longhorn’ theme.  Residing in Texas, a vast market exists for this Iconic symbol.  The table (above) was completed in 2006 atop a pre-existing homemade end table with Coors Light and gold Budweiser bottle caps.  It resides at the home of W. Cooke in Ft. Worth, TX.

A second piece was completed as a gift for P. Stadler of Austin, TX.  This is the artist’s first commissioned piece, and it was delivered in September of 2009.

The negative space is a combination of disparate light-colored bottle caps, while the longhorn is composed of Miller High Life caps which have brown and red on them (see right).  The dimensions are 44 x 32 inches or a little less than 3 by 4 feet.  Exactly 1178 Bottle caps.
