JACK’S

BACKYARD

This piece was completed in September of 2009, and is the most detailed work to date.  The “Backyard” at the bottom was extremely meticulous, and indeed required the addition of ‘artistic grouting’ to make sense of the letters. 

The 4 foot piece is constructed atop a 3/4 inch thick wooden oval (originally a coffee table).  It was grouted in white and then stained to a reddish brown.  The grout between the black caps was colored black. 

This piece was given to Jack’s Backyard in Dallas, TX as a gift in 2009.
